Man Alone Statement
Chalk lines skid, dive, and leap across the wall within a delicate tracery of pencil and thick strokes of charcoal: an energy field inhabited by an Everyman figure who could represent any one of us. He is alone in his decisions, dealing with inevitable disappointments, reined in by life. But, it is the ambiguity of the figure that intrigues–we cannot tell if he will stand up and move forward or fall back, collapsing under the weight of his cares.
