America Comes Home, Emma Willard School, Troy, NY, 2005.
This installation was a haunting memorial to American Soldiers who fought in the Iraq War. Hundreds of anonymous, lifeless, muslin figures hung side by side under a banner with the words “America Comes Home” painted on a cloth fragment suggesting a folksy welcome-home banner. It was first shown at Emma Willard School, Troy, NY, then moved to the Lichtenstein Gallery, Pittsfield, MA and to Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY.
